Alan Moore is one of the most important comic book and graphic novel creators in the business. His work has subverted the comic book genre and put radical ideas into the mainstream. Most known for his works “The Watchmen” and “V for Vendetta,” more puts anarchist and anti-authoritarian views into those series. In our latest, Scott talks with author Kristian Williams about his new book, “The Illuminist – Philosophical Explorations in the Work of Alan Moore,” which looks at the anarchist politics of Alan Moore. They discuss his subversion of long standing literary and comic book genres, characters and storylines in "The Watchmen" and "V for Vendetta," and, of course the origins and nature of Moore's anti-authoritarian political philosophy.
