#158 - Lance Armstrong Gets Real: Le Tour Training, Quarantine Living, & Evolving Cycling
With no stone left unturned from the past, Lance Armstrong pulls back the curtain on his cycling career, why he's thriving under quarantine (& decided to ditch alcohol), and how he's focusing on the path forward.
Averaging 400-500 watts over a 30-minute interval (something a typical 25-year-old could do for only 30 seconds) Lance had nearly superhuman-level abilities.
"It really wasn't [the doping]. At this point, I'm not here to fool or lie to anybody...but it wasn't. That was step 11 in a 10 step process. We put a lot of work into the team."
In this podcast interview, Geoff Woo and Lance discuss the current coronavirus epidemic, beating cancer, war stories from the Le Tour days, preserving a competitive spirit, and how the global sport of cycling should evolve.
