Jeff Spinner-Halev is the Kenan Eminent Professor of Political Ethics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is the author of several books including his latest, Respect and Loathing in American Democracy: Polarization, Moralization, and the Undermining of Equality co-authored with Elizabeth Theiss-Morse.

 Elizabeth Theiss-Morse is the Willa Cather Professor of Political Science at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.  Her research focuses in the areas of American politics and political psychology. Her most recent book is Respect and Loathing in American Democracy, co-authored with political theorist Jeff Spinner-Halev.
