The fiber optic subsea cable… made of thin strands of coated glass fibers, each measuring about eight microns (thinner than a strand of a human hair)…has literally changed the world! More reliable than satellites, subsea cables possess a much larger capacity, and is today transmitting more than 95% of all international data between continents and islands.
