Complementary football will win Michigan football more games than it loses in 2024

After hearing from a lot of offensive players and coaches the past few days, we're becoming more and more optimistic about that side of the ball (or just falling for annual fall camp hype). But, what will it actually take to win big for a fourth-straight year, this time in 2024?

We single out the five big games and discuss the style of play that Michigan must have in each in order to win. Outside of those games, the Wolverines should be able to play within themselves a bit more but those five games all have something in particular it must do (offensively or defensively) in order to escape with a win.

We've talked about offense but now we turn back to the defense, expected to be the stronger side of the ball. Why are pundits discounting the Wolverines this year? As we go through snap counts of last year's backups (now expected starters) along with the transfers, there's a ton of returning experience.
