Episode 26 has arrived and for this show we speak to producer and DJ Jeremy Howard also known as @Sinistarr. Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Sinistarr is known for his consistent and innovative production style. He is praised for his skilled and adventurous ear for defying genres not only within his tracks, but with his DJ sets too. Traversing elements of Footwork, Jungle and Techno, Sinistarr makes music that shatters dance floors with pure bass and infuses a broad range of tempo and vibes from half time to in-your-face dance-floor cuts. Sinistarr’s production career took off fast too. At the age of 22, the producer saw his first release on Peer Pressure Recordings, shortly after he got a call from Drum and Bass legend Fabio to release tracks off his legendary label Creative Source. Jeremy has also debuted tracks with Hospital Records and Metalheadz.On this episode, Shannon and Sinistarr chat about the music he’s been releasing in quarantine, his journey in the Drum ‘N Bass world, and Sinistarr shares his thoughts on the issue of racial disparity and historical smudging in music.
