The MAP boys sit down with legendary baseball coach, Jack Leggett, to talk about his book, "The ABCs of Excellence." Coach Leggett began his coaching career in 1978 at the University of Vermont. In 1983, he took the head coaching job at Western Carolina and led them to five NCAA Regional appearances in 9 years. He later took over the program at Clemson University and built one of the most successful programs in college baseball. His Clemson teams appeared in 21 NCAA Regionals, 9 NCAA Super-Regionals and took 6 trips to Omaha for the College World Series. Not to mention the numerous coaches who worked for him and now have created their own successful programs (Tim Corbin, Kevin O'Sullivan, John Pawlowski, Erik Bakich) Coach Leggett talked to the boys about the lessons he learned along the way and the importance of developing a culture of clear expectations, discipline and accountability. He shares his thoughts on youth sports and young athletes specializing in sports too early. He also breaks down some of the ABCs of Excellence by talking about the 4 C's, Need vs. Want, MTA (Make the Adjustment) and other key learnings from the book. This is a must-listen show.
