Rehash: A Web3 Podcast

S3 E14 | Building a Human-Centered Web3 w/Paris Rouzati

Dec 15, 2022
58:22

On this episode of Rehash we sat down with Paris Rouzati, a web3 investor and advisor. Paris is heavily involved with marketing for Aave and Lens, where she organizes Raaves and leads the creation of Lens and Aave swag. Paris shares her web3 journey and gives listeners some insight into her investment thesis (or lack thereof) and calls out some amazing projects in the space.

We discuss marketing, paid marketing, growth strategies, and how marketing for a web3 native audience is quite different from web2. Paris gives us the inside scoop on how Lens and Aave go about creating swag that people actually love wearing, and throwing parties that everyone wants to attend. She shares how intentional the Aave and Lens teams are about community building and outreach, always maintaining a mindset of human-first-marketing-second, and of course, keeping it fun.

We also analyze the consumer and developer sides of web3 and discuss the importance of human-centered design. We talk about Lens, Farcaster and web3 social as a whole, as well the impacts of social media on mental health. Paris emphasizes the importance of maintaining a healthy mindset, sharing her tips for combating burnout - logging off, sharing how you’re feeling, and enjoying life outside of crypto.
