Hurdle 143. Becs Gentry, Peloton Instructor & Runner
With personal best times of 1:16 in the half marathon and 2:37 in the marathon, Becs Gentry is a stellar athlete — proud of the body she’s built that enables her to show up every single day. But in episode 143 of Hurdle, she tells me about a time in her life when she actually didn’t feel super comfortable in her own skin. The Peloton instructor details what it was like to first start integrating more walking into her day to day back home in England, and how that routine slowly developed into a running habit.
She tells me about the conversation she had with her uncle that changed everything, empowering her to get out of a bad relationship and pivot in her career, what it was like to travel the world for nike during the early stages of Nike Run Club, and the call from Rebecca Kennedy had her packing her bags and moving to New York to join the Peloton team.
