In the scriptures we are taught to “be still,” (Doctrine and Covenants 101:16) and “not to run faster than we have strength” (Mosiah 4:27), but also to be “anxiously engaged in a good cause” (Doctrine and Covenants 58:27–28) and to “serve God with all our heart, might, mind, and strength” (Doctrine and Covenants 4). As busy Latter-day Saint women, how do we balance this seemingly contradictory counsel, allowing ourselves stillness and rest while also engaging with all our hearts in the work of salvation?
