Entering 2020 we're now firmly in the second year that marijuana has been legalized in Canada. But there remain an enormous number of questions. What's a safe dose? Has CBD oil actually been proven to do anything? And how the heck do you pronounce cannabinoids?
To answer these questions, we gathered together three of the world’s experts for a panel discussion last year at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. Before an audience of C-suite executives from around the world, Shaun Francis interviewed the people who are actually conducting the research at the intersection of human health and marijuana consumption.
Dr. Mark Ware is the chief medical officer of Canopy Growth, the world’s largest cannabis company. James MacKilliop is the co-director of McMaster University’s DeGroote Centre for Medicinal Cannabis Research. And Dr. Rakesh Jetly is the chief psychiatrist for the Canadian Armed Forces and an expert in the therapeutic uses of cannabis for mental health.
After the panel discussion, I met in person with Dr. Mark Ware for a follow-up discussion.
Thanks to Dr. Mark Ware, Dr. Rakesh Jetly, Professor James MacKillop and the CEO organization that hosted the panel discussion at Ottawa’s National Arts Centre.
