The Debate Format

The podcast discusses the debate format utilized during the discussion between the two leaders of the major parties. Each side had 45 seconds to answer questions posed by the audience or sent in advance to ITV. Despite additional crosstalk, the depth of discussion didn't go beyond the initial 45 seconds, which limited the policy discussion. Criticism was directed at the format for not allowing a more meaningful exchange and being patronizing to the audience.
