Emily Rose Dallara is a marketing consultant and Fractional CMO (something we cover during the episode), she’s originally from England, spent 8 years living in Vietnam and now lives in France. She has been a crypto marketer since 2017 and is also retraining as a coach.

Emily recently started a podcast Web 3 And Thrive to help women survive and thrive when working in Web3, ​and she was also selected as a Top 100 'Women of The Future' in 2022. We talk about the realities of working in Web3, getting paid exclusively in crypto, and more.

Glossary of terms:

Crypto - digital cash

DeFi - decentralised finance (i.e. without central banks)

ETH - Ether, the native currency of the Ethereum blockchain

BTC - bitcoin!

altcoin - any cryptocurrency that’s not Bitcoin

DCA - dollar cost averaging aka buying a certain amount of cryptocurrency or other investment at regular intervals, for example buying $50 USD of Ether once a week, and therefore getting a different amount of Ether each time

PAXG - Paxos digital gold

KYC - Know Your Customer, a way for financial institutions to prevent fraud by verifying people’s identities
