As we look at the well-known story of David and Goliath from 1 Samuel 17 which is often viewed as a tale of personal triumph, we discover that this story is much more than a motivational tale. This sermon shows us that the story primarily points to Jesus: the true hero who conquers our greatest enemy. By examining David's faith and actions, we are reminded that our ultimate victory comes through Christ, who has already fought and won the decisive battle on our behalf.
