While trying to gain information, the protagonist mistakenly falls from a rooftop, injuring themselves. They then observe from a hidden vantage point the intense activity at the sealed metal gate leading to the Grandisk. Amidst the confusion, they notice that deep and widespread fear is emanating from the gate. In a daring move, they rush through the gate before it's sealed, encountering resistance but managing to enter. Inside, they witness the aftermath of a brutal attack and realize that a powerful and terrifying entity is sealed within the Grandisk.
To navigate the sealed gate, the protagonist attempts a risky climb along a heavy chain, but loses their grip and falls to the ground. Undeterred, they continue to push forward, urging others to run and escape the danger. Despite the challenges and sacrifices, they remain determined to confront and overcome the supernatural threat that lurks within the Grandisk.
The beast notices Fern and charges towards her, attacking with a 26 to hit.
Fern's allies, Imogen and Frida, attempt to impose disadvantage on the beast's attack with their abilities, but are unable to do so.
