This week on Owning It I am joined by a former uni classmate of mine, Yvonne Keane (now an incredible photographer) who shares with me her experience of being diagnosed with bipolar. The anxiety and depression that preceded the diagnosis for Yvonne, what life with bipolar is like for her, a mother of one, the anxiety around getting such a diagnosis and how we can better support those in our lives who have been diagnosed with this illness (formerly referred to as 'manic depression'). I am very grateful to Yvonne for highlighting such an important topic, being so vulnerable and open with me and educating me on something that's not often talked about.
