Happy Day, Friends! On Episode 6 of Mindful Living with Athea Davis I release part 2 of my interview with Marissa Ford, a second grade teacher in the Houston Independent School District. We continue our discussion of the struggles black students from low socio-economic backgrounds face in education today, particularly black women students in STEM programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), and how mindfulness can play a role in helping students self-regulate intense emotions and change negative thought patterns so they can create a more empowering story for themselves and their families.
This is part 2 of a 2-part interview. To listen to part 1 of my interview with Marissa Ford go check out Episode 5.
Happy listening!
