Alison Overton is a fine-art photographer who blends the qualities of photography and painting in her moody, gothic landscapes. Using cameras as simple as the toy-like Holga and transparent oils, she transforms her photographs into something more than a document of a scene. A native of North Carolina , she was been awarded Regional Artists Project Grants for 2000-2001 and 2003-2004 from the North Carolina Arts Council.
