MBA Insider #127: The Role of Allyship and Intersectionality in Creating Diverse and Inclusive MBA Experiences
In this episode, we spoke to TJ Scott and Kelsie Carter, two MBA students in the Class of 2022 in UNC Kenan-Flagler’s Full-Time MBA program. TJ and Kelsie both come from different backgrounds and experiences, but are both advocates of allyship and honoring the intersectionality of whole human beings.
TJ and Kelsie spoke about their own unique journeys to UNC Kenan-Flagler, why they chose to get an MBA degree, and how the role of allyship and intersectionality play in creating a diverse and inclusive environment that allows all people to thrive. They also took time to define and share what these words mean to them, and spoke about how as student leaders, they are cultivating a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture for their classmates and peers at UNC Kenan-Flagler.
