May was a founding member of the cypherpunk mailing list, wrote extensively about privacy and cryptography, and his writings are considered to have been a large inspiration for Bitcoin.I wanted to share some of my favorite excerpts from an important piece of his, the Crypto Anarchist Manifesto, which he wrote in 1988.
