Teacher Talks: Questioning Traps to Avoid

This episode is this week's 'Teacher Talk': a fifteen minute talk that explores an important aspect of classroom practice, with practical strategies for implementing it in your classroom. 

This talk explores the value of questioning and some of the common classroom questioning traps to avoid.  It explores five potential questioning pitfalls:

1. Guess what is in the head
2. Closed questions dominating
3. Not leaving sufficient thinking time
4. Checking for understanding through 'any questions?'
5. Acceptance and over-praise.
