Episode notes
The Steelers’ Old-School Principles Are Costly
- Pittsburgh’s refusal to guarantee money beyond the first year helped turn Joey Porter Jr.’s contract dispute into a below-market trade.
- The Steelers have repeatedly prioritized aging stars and local familiarity while losing young talent such as George Pickens and Porter.
Mike Tomlin Built A Minecraft City
- Mike Tomlin spent 12 years building an enormous Minecraft city with luxury apartments, aquariums, rooftops, and carefully planned public bathrooms.
- Tomlin describes lighting, zoning, and “Jack and Jill” bedrooms with the seriousness of a real-estate presentation.
Set Your Fantasy Lineup Before London
- Set fantasy lineups by Saturday because the first London game starts at 9:30 a.m. Eastern and can create unexpected inactive-player problems.
- The hosts specifically warn against forgetting players such as Terry McLaurin or an injured kicker.
