Joe McMenamin is a physician attorney. He obtained his medical degree and his doctorate of jurisprudence at the University of Pennsylvania. He has spent most of his professional life practicing medical and healthcare law. He has been a digital health advisor, AI advisor, and speaker on these and other topics. During today's interview, Dr. McMenamin provides his thoughts on the topic of work as a medical expert witness. He begins by explaining why he decided to pursue a law degree and career after completing his residency. Then he explains the different types of expert witnesses, and where the medical expert witness fits into the legal system, based on years of experience engaging his own expert witnesses and cross-examining opposing experts.
