Elon has been vocal about the Fed stopping rate hikes. This is definitely one way to accelerate that timeline

This is a like a business school case study in real time. Let’s drop prices of the best car on the market by $20k while interest rates are rising and see what happens… The impact hasn’t even started.

Just a couple thoughts:

- Consumer demand is slowing across the board. They’re not immune.

- Out-compete the market

- Qualify for EV tax credit

Inventories of tesla cars over the weekend were cut in half so the process may have worked … used tesla prices are crazy …. My car went from $45k to $24k in less than a month

Many used tesla cars are now priced higher than new ones
