31. Self-Trust as the Foundation for Creativity & Community-Building with Ashley Estabrook of Witches For Bernie

It is with great joy and honor that I share this 31st episode because Moon to Moon gets to be the host space for the first ever podcast interview with Ashley Estabrook aka @witches4bernie!

Ashley Estabrook is the creator of Witches For Bernie, an Instagram account turned creative space for dreaming up a new tomorrow. Ashley's writing infuses her passions in a unique way, bringing together the parts of herself that weren't allowed to be connected in the past. Her work focuses on using magical tools, including tarot, astrology, and journaling, to shift perspectives around reparenting and inner child work. Recently expanding into the world of Patreon and embracing the student-teacher archetype, she has transformed her platform into a space where she shares the information that she learns and integrates with her professional background in mental health and the medical field. What started in January 2020 as a way to connect progressive witches on Instagram has grown into a magical world where you can find anything from tarot readings, to mutual aid fundraising, to ritual guides, to Bernie memes. Witches For Bernie is a space for alchemizing hope for our future, by processing our past and finding ways to feel magical and creative in our present.

As discussed, Ashley also created ritual oils and astro guides through her Etsy shop. 

I have known Ashley in one way or another for nearly two years now. It has been a joy to watch her star rise as she launched her Insta space, which has become such an active and supportive community at the intersection of politics, tarot, astrology, and self-care. I deeply admire Ashley for the ways in which she shows up with such consistency for her passions and how she brings her whole self to her work. Thank you for joining me, Ashley! 

My conversation with Ashley begins about 35 minutes into the episode. In the Introduction, I honor Mars in Cancer and share some of the ways it has been working through my life since it's been my Mars Return. Technically not over until it's over, Mars in Cancer has already blown me away. I am in awe of the magic of astrology to come through on its promises in ways we can never fully predict or control. It just happens, and I feel so held.
