Bill Day: Shipwreck expert has spent 36 years searching for the wreck of the General Grant in the Auckland Islands

According to Heritage New Zealand, there are more than 2500 shipwrecks in New Zealand's marine and fresh waters.

Of those, only about 200 have been accurately located.
