"Shōgun" has become one of the most talked-about and acclaimed shows of 2024 since it premiered on FX earlier this year. Nominated already for Gotham TV and Television Critics Association Awards, the show is an epic transportation to a time and a place in history with a grand sense of scale rarely seen in television. To create the sound of the world, 16-time Academy Award-nominated Sound Effects Mixer Greg P. Russell, Oscar-winning Dialogue Mixer Steve Pederson, and Emmy-nominated Supervising Sound Editor Bryan Armstrong had a daunting task ahead of them, but they all rose to the challenge, creating one of the best sounding shows of 2024.
