Our guest today is Washington Post journalist and author Philip Bump who has written the new book “The Aftermath: the Last Days of the Baby Boom and the Future of Power in America”
Thank you so much for listening. We’ve got a great guest today with author Philip Bump, who is a journalist and author, and who, after reading his new book, “The Aftermath: the Last Days of the Baby Boom and the Future of Power in America” I’ve been looking forward to speaking with him for a while. Our guest today, author Philip Bump says that we are living through a historic disruption of the American empire. Philip Bump is The Washington Post, national columnist and will tell us about what that disruption means for the country and how much remains uncertain in many areas, but Philip Bump will explain to us in a no-stone-unturned manner as he takes us through his deep research, graphs, and offers a detailed look at the rise of the baby boom generation, its impact on the United States and the implications of its final days, including the rise of the meme, OK Boomer.
