Yoga Therapy Hour with Amy Wheeler Yoga, Aging and Research with Manjunath Nandi Krishnamurthy
Today’s episode is a wonderful combination of yogic mysticism and scientific research. We are honored to speak with Dr. Krishnamurthy, the Pro Vice Chancellor, and Research Director of S-VASA University in Bangalore, Indian which offers degree programs all the way up to receiving a Ph.D. in Yoga Studies. Dr. Krishnamurthy begins the conversation by telling us some of the latest research on yoga and aging. We then move into the history of the invasions of Indian universities between the 5th and 12th Centuries and the impact that this had on the ancient knowledge of yoga and Ayurveda, as well as many other areas of study. Dr. Krishnamurthy then talks about S-VYASA University in both India as well as Los Angeles, CA and how they are educating yoga students all of the world in person and online.
Amy talks with Dr. Krishnamurthy about the following:
