Leanne on Demand Daily with Leanne Hughes đ´150. How I host a live show
Hey hey â todayâs episode is timed literally to the Thermomix timer. I had 14 minutes while my eggs boiled, so thatâs what I gave myself to record, edit, and publish this. (Spoiler: The beep didnât make it in.)
What I wanted to share with you is a little behind-the-scenes look at how I prep, host, and run my live stream show Talk the Walk with Alan Weiss. Weâve now done over 20 episodes together (!), and itâs evolved into a rhythm thatâs spontaneous, thoughtful, and honestly, a brilliant crash course in real-time facilitation.
In this episode, I walk through:
- đŻ How we come up with topics (some planned, most riffed)
- đ§ Why everything is marketing when your name is your brand
- đŹ The tech I use to pull it all together (shoutout to StreamYard + Canva)
- đ¤ How I prep prompts and questions to keep the convo flowing
- 𧊠Why live-streaming is the best training ground for handling anything in the moment
Alan throws curveballs. I do the tech. And we co-host in a way that feels fun, fast, and occasionally chaotic (in a good way). I'm also thinking of offering others the chance to go live with me soonâso if youâre curious about that, stay tuned.
đ Donât forget: Tomorrowâs Weekend Rewind features the full conversation Alan and I had about building a profitable business without hiring a VA or adding overhead. One of my favourite convos so far.
Thanks for tuning in. And yes, the eggs turned out perfectly.
