Obadiah Holmes was not a university-trained pastor. He couldn’t read Greek or Hebrew or Latin. Indeed, he may not have read English well or at all until he was about 40 years old. But he was a genuinely converted man, graced and gifted to courageously stand for Christ in his day and pastor a church for several decades.
