In 2008, at age 40, Leka was introduced to CrossFit—and immediately fell in love with the community. Within five years, Leka started competing, qualifying for her CrossFit Games in 2017 at age 50. "I went from not being able to jump rope or do a single pull up when I started, to finishing 7th, 11th, and 8th in the world in my division for 3 consecutive years. Then in 2022 I came in 5th, and 1st in 2023," she says. "When I began thinking of myself as an athlete and fueling myself for performance, I started to feel more confident in every area of my life."
