After 43 years in leadership roles, and humbly learning from mistakes early in her career, Julie offers some wisdom in leadership, life, and purpose:
- Address the struggle instead of denying it
- Leading by example; offering permission to rest in a stressful burnout culture
- In leadership, as in life, things often come full circle
- Ask your supporters/employees/followers what they think is the best solution. (Often leaders can best serve by listening and supporting their audience, not having all the answers.)
After retiring as a leader of hundreds, Julie still continues to guide many on their leadership journey. She does the same for our audience on today's podcast by reminding us of the importance of asking questions, giving honest feedback, and imagining possibilities.
