Choice Experiences of Jane Turner (Pt.2) | Particular Pilgrims
I am returning to the spiritual autobiography of Jane Turner as related in her book “Choice Experiences” published in 1653. In our last episode, she told of the first two stages of her religious experience which she entitled “ignorance” and then “duty”. It was during the duty stage that she learned of the law and some of the work of Christ. This was largely through hearing the frequent preaching of puritan ministers. Later, she considered this stage to be the beginning of her conversion but not the fullness of it.
