Orsola de Castro and Kendall Robbins on a fashion revolution

Apr 7, 2019

My conversation with Orsola de Castro and Kendall Robbins started with Orsola’s confession “I’m a recovering fashion designer”.

Whilst the Fashion Revolution’s campaign is a positive force for good, it’s a tragedy that inspired its existence. On 24 April 2013, 1134 people died in a collapse of the Rana Plaza factory complex in Bangladesh, with 90% of casualties being young girls, producing garments for the global consumer markets. A horrific event which could have been prevented made even worse through the fact that the clothes produced at the factory at the time still reached the consumers, who never realised the true cost of their new garments.

Listen to Orsola and Kendall's mission to change the fashion industry and learn how you can join the fashion revolution.
