Your Kids Don’t Suck: Cultivating Closeness with your Kids through Non-Coercive, Conscious Parenting Listener Fave: Using the 6 Steps of Inner Bonding® to resolve parental reactivity
Content Advisory: This episode contains discussion of childhood sexual trauma in a therapeutic context
This episode offers parents an example of what a therapeutic process looks like and how it leads to personal accountability, and then (hopefully!) closeness with our children.
In this episode, therapist Rythea Lee shares with us her process when it comes to getting reactive with her kid. Rythea explores how her own childhood trauma currently impacts her relationship to bedtime, and discusses how it challenges her ability to problem-solve or think clearly about the issue.
We travel alongside Rythea through a process called Inner Bonding®, an emotional, psychological modality that helps resolve wounded patterns from the past. This is a template for processing any issue that can arise with our kids.
Rythea goes through the six steps of the Inner Bonding® process to show you how it works:
