Rescue operations are ongoing in the Shenzhen region following a devastating 6.8 magnitude earthquake, which has resulted in over 126 fatalities and nearly 190 injuries. The emergency response is at its highest level, with authorities focusing on finding trapped survivors and providing essential aid. Over 22,000 disaster relief items, including warm clothing and tents, have been sent to the affected area, where freezing temperatures complicate rescue efforts. Additionally, local health experts and more than 12,000 rescue workers are actively engaged in ensuring the safety of the homeless and restoring communication and power in the region.
