In this week’s episode of the Rox Lyfe podcast I get to speak with Hunter McIntyre (@huntthesheriff). Hunter the current HYROX World Record holder in the Pro division with a time of 53:22. He won the HYROX world championship in 2022 and 2023, and had been favourite for the 2024 race in Nice, but ultimately finished 5th in a performance well below his expectations. In this, his first and only podcast interview since then, we talk about the race in Nice, why he thinks he didn’t perform as well as he hoped, what his training had looked like in the lead up and how it will look going forwards, his future plans in the sport (including his plans in the Doubles division), his training volume and numbers, and lots more.
