There’s a brand new Robin Hood movie in theaters now, but we’re not here to talk about that! Instead, our commentary track is for the Robin who stole from the rich while also stealing our hearts, 1991’s Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Join Brian and Zaki as they watch the smash hit movie directed by Kevin Reynolds and starring Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman, and Alan Rickman, and hear them exchange their own personal memories of a time when Kevin Costner could make the world believe that England’s greatest outlaw had an accent from somewhere in rural Iowa, and when a big budget Robin Hood movie could command the pop culture zeitgeist in a way that’s, frankly, a bit perplexing.
