After a couple of internships in pensions consulting whilst at university, Chris began his actuarial career in life insurance with Standard Life. Today he is a Director and Head of Life Actuarial - Scotland at EY.

Chris gives incredible insight into his journey to date as an Actuary. We discuss beginning his career in life insurance, his path to qualification, his experience of career progression in the insurance industry, the variety of work he has had exposure to, the value of finding good mentors, how he developed his specialism in the Bulk Annuities market, his approach to posting on LinkedIn, and his experience of being a people leader.
