Today I had the chance to sit down with US National Team Member Zane Grothe. Zane has had quite the career and is the former American record holder for both the 500 Free and 1650 Free. After talking to him, there’s no question his mindset and the culture he’s been immersed in have played pivotal roles in these recording breaking swims. Given my own background in distance swimming, it was great to find commonalities that make up the unique kind of crazy that is a distance swimmer's mindset!
