This week, we’re still in Copenhagen and speaking to one of Denmark’s true visionaries in skincare and wellness. Mette Skjærbæk is the founder of Karmameju, a bioactive skincare and loungewear company. Skjærbæk describes her products as ‘nature in a bottle’, they’re packed with organic ingredients that not only protect your skin from the outside but also promote a vitality that glows from within.

Mette began her professional journey in fashion, working as a model in New York City. However, she knew what her true passion was from a young age, her earliest memory is from spending all her time as a child in her parents’ greenhouse, learning everything she could about the plants that grew there and their potential health benefits. In 1999 she combined this passion with the business savvy she acquired through modelling and founded Karmameju, and the company has only gone from strength to strength since then.

Mette takes a moment to sit down with Susanne to discuss her professional journey, everyday positive affirmations and their shared belief in the healing power of nature.
