   • Meaning: The vocation or calling of a religious organization, especially a Christian one, to go out into the world and spread its faith.
   • Sentence 1: I served on a mission to improve water supply to small towns in America.
   • Sentence 2: Greenleaf is a wonderful mission organization that helps young women become more financially secure.
   • Sentence 3: Although charitable giving is important, working as a missionary on the mission field is also important.
2. Philanthropy 
   • Meaning: The desire to promote the welfare of others, expressed especially by the generous donation of money to good causes.
   • Sentence 1: Many colleges receive donations from philanthropic institutions.
   • Sentence 2: Lily had philanthropic interests and enjoyed donating to unknown artists.

   • Meaning: To cause discomfort to someone by treating him or her in a way that is extremely kind or helpful
