Trump’s tweets are sometimes distracting, often right on the money, but always obfuscate the important policy outcomes. I update you on crime, the border, illegal immigration, the budget, and Afghanistan to show how wide the gap is between Trump’s tweets and actual policy outcomes. We are continuing to import dangerous cultural problems from Central America. Tweets are nice, but policy touchdowns are better.
