A new research paper released by The Vegan Society into masculinity and veganism shows that women are far more likely to go vegan than men. Some studies have even suggested that as high as 80% of all the vegans in the USA were female.

This means that if you are selling to a vegan audience then you need to be aware that your audience will be largely female. But why has veganism been an overwhelmingly a female movement and why are there so many social barriers and stigmas stopping more men going vegan?
