Explaining concepts as if we are speaking to a third grader can help us reach more people and increase the clarity of our messaging.
Focus on the Transformation, Not the Features
When marketing our products or services, it is important to highlight the transformation and benefits they offer rather than getting caught up in listing features and specifications. Instead of overwhelming potential customers with technical details, we should emphasize how our offerings will improve their lives, whether it's helping them gain a better understanding of a topic, make more money, attract clients, feel more relaxed, or look and feel better.
Avoid Getting Obsessed with Funnels
Many marketers dedicate excessive time and focus to building elaborate funnels, but this approach may not always be the most effective. While funnels can be useful, placing too much emphasis on them might hinder our ability to recognize potential customers who are ready to make a purchase right away. By balancing our marketing efforts and considering individual customer journeys, we can avoid solely relying on funnels and seize opportunities for immediate sales.
Spicy? Maybe a little, but this needs to be said! So many business owners and creators are OVERCOMPLICATING their marketing and it's leading to burnout, confusion, etc. Let's simplify your marketing so you can reach the right people and have FUN while doing it!
