70 - Being an NFT OG with Matt Condon from the Digitally Rare Podcast
In this episode of The Unstoppable Podcast, we’re talking to Matt Condon, one of the original members of the NFT space, host of the Digitally Rare Podcast, and member of a whole bunch of fascinating projects, including inserting microchips into his own body as part of the Many Matts project.
Matt talks about his initial impression of NFTs, as someone who has been involved since the beginning as a collaborator on the ERC-721 standard, and where the value of NFTs comes from.
We discuss whether we should be building versions of physical things in the digital world or building based on digitally native ideas. Matt also talks about the Digitally Rare Podcast and his experiences as the co-host and co-creator.
Matt shares his experiences from the Many Matts project, why he decided to insert microchips (including an NFT chip) into his hand, and what it was like. Finally, we discuss the future for NFTs and what the next ten years might hold.
