The town of Centralia in Pennsylvania has been on fire for the past 60 years! An underground network of mines was accidentally set fire to after firefighters decided to solve the towns trash problem by setting it alight. Two weeks later, the ground was still smouldering and it wasn't long before the earth beneath the gentile community led town, was set ablaze seemingly forever putting its residents at severe risk.

Fast forward a few decades and the town became the inspiration for the Silent Hill horror franchise but not many people realise that this tiny town is actually real!
