Jerome Powell, Chairman of the Federal Reserve, speaks to the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) today about interest Rate hikes and the state of the economy as the Fed looks forward in 2022 and grapples with Inflation. Cliff Waldman, President of New World Economics, speaks for the meeting in a special news brief wrap-up of Chairman powells remarks in a live episode on Manufacturing Talk Radio. " Powell is not mincing words today. He is giving a very frank, very hawkish speech. He's pulling no punches about inflation being "much too high." And while he thinks there is some historical precedent for a soft landing, i.e. bringing inflation under control without causing a recession, he acknowledges the risks," Waldman reported.
