This Friday’s episode sees Daniel joined by illustrator and film programmer Amy Louise O’Callaghan.
Inspired by everything from mythology and folktales to her favourite films, Amy is known for her comic “Feathers” and her picture book “A Cork Fairytale” which has been a huge hit both Lee side and in wider Ireland.
Today Amy will be discussing what it’s like going from having studied film to being a film programmer for festivals, how home and the places she resides in contribute to her artistry, as well as the importance of children being able to see and identify themselves in stories.
Amy will also discuss her relationship with Cork City and the art and culture scene there, from The People’s Picturehouse, to studying Film & Screen Media at UCC.
All of this & more on today’s episode of “Creatively Me”.
